The United Domestic Workers of America, AFSCME Local 3930, is a labor union founded in 1977 representing over 165,000 home care and family child care providers across the state of California.
A large amount of the UDW website user base are care providers who are union members. Union members seek out information from the UDW which helps them to be properly compensated for their work.
I created a fast loading, custom theme based on the WordPress Theme Development Handbook standards.
The site makes use of clear user paths for finding information, registering for membership and renewing current memberships.
Extensive usage of fast loading custom CSS styles enabled a 100 Best Practices score and a 93 Performance score from Google Chrome Lighthouse.
